Community & Creator Programs Lead
We're looking for someone to own and scale three programs that sit at the center of how Firecrawl grows: our Firestarters community, our Ambassador network, and our Affiliate program. You'll build genuine relationships with developers, creators, and influencers — and turn those relationships into content, feedback, and growth that compounds over time.
Salary Range: $70,000–$130,000/year (Range shown is global. Compensation is adjusted based on your country's cost of living — major U.S. cities will be at the higher end of the range. You can explore how we calculate this here: https://www.firecrawl.dev/careers/compensation.)
Equity Range: Up to 0.05%
Location: Remote (Western/Europe Timezones)
Job Type: Full-Time or Contract
Experience: 3+ years in community, DevRel, or creator partnerships
Visa: N/A (Remote)
About Firecrawl
Firecrawl is the easiest way to extract data from the web. Developers use us to reliably convert URLs into LLM-ready markdown or structured data with a single API call. In just a year, we've hit 8 figures in ARR and 90k+ GitHub stars by building the fastest way for developers to get LLM-ready data.
We're a small, fast-moving, technical team building essential infrastructure super-intelligence will use to gather data on the web. We ship fast and deep.
What You'll Do
Firestarters Program — Manage and grow our community of super fans, open source maintainers, and power users. Coordinate early access rollouts and collect feedback that actually gets used. Keep the Slack channel active and engaged. Onboard new Firestarters and make them feel like insiders from day one.
Firecrawl Ambassadors Program — Build and maintain close relationships with 5–10 larger influencers and creators. Manage individual Slack channels for each ambassador. Coordinate bounty-style content creation — review pitches, activate for launches, handle payouts. Make ambassadors feel special (merch, early access, direct team access). Drive off-page SEO across YouTube and other platforms through ambassador content.
Affiliate Program — Own the self-serve affiliate program end to end: onboarding, tracking, payouts. Keep it running smoothly without needing to manage it day to day. Monitor for abuse and ensure quality referrals. Find ways to grow affiliate sign-ups without turning it into a full-time job.
Cross-program — Identify Firestarters who could become Ambassadors and Ambassadors who drive affiliate revenue. Build the flywheel between all three programs so they reinforce each other.
What We're Looking For
A genuine relationship builder, not a transactional one. You actually like people. Your creators and community members trust you because you show up for them consistently, not because you're running a playbook. You remember what matters to people and follow through.
Someone who can run three programs at once without dropping balls. You're operationally sharp. You can context-switch between a high-touch ambassador conversation and a scalable affiliate dashboard without losing quality on either. You have systems that keep things from falling through the cracks.
Experience with creator, influencer, or developer communities. You've worked directly with creators or community members before — ideally in a developer or technical context. You know how to activate people without being annoying and how to make partnerships feel like a genuine two-way street.
High agency and clear communication. You don't wait for permission or perfect instructions. You see what needs to happen and you do it. When something's off, you flag it early and propose a fix. You communicate proactively — nobody has to chase you for updates.
Comfortable using AI tools to multiply your output. You use tools like Claude, n8n, or whatever gets the job done to move faster than one person should be able to. You automate the repetitive stuff so you can spend your time on the high-touch work that actually matters.
Backgrounds that tend to do well: DevRel, community, or creator partnerships at a developer-focused company. Former founders who've built communities around their product. Influencer/creator management at a tech or SaaS company. Growth or partnerships roles where you built the playbook from scratch.
What We're NOT Looking For
People who treat community as a vanity metric. If your idea of success is "we have 10k people in a Slack" without caring whether they're engaged, contributing, or getting value — this isn't it. We care about depth, not just numbers.
Brand marketers who've never managed individual relationships. This role is hands-on. You'll be in DMs, managing payouts, reviewing content pitches, and making people feel seen. If you've only operated at the campaign level, you'll be frustrated here.
Someone who needs a team of five to run three programs. You'll have tools, AI, and support — but you need to be able to own all three programs and keep them running yourself. If you can't operate solo and stay organized, this isn't the right fit.
A Note On Pace
We operate at an absurd level of urgency because the window for what we're building won't stay open forever. If that excites you, keep reading. If it doesn't, no hard feelings — but this role probably isn't for you.

Interview Process
Application Review – Send us your stuff + a quick note on why this excites you. We care more about what you've built and who you've worked with than polished resumes.
Community & Programs Interview (~45 min) – Walk us through how you've built or managed community and creator relationships. We'll dig into a real scenario: how you'd approach launching or scaling one of our three programs. We're looking for operational instincts, relationship depth, and how you think about turning community into growth — not buzzwords.
Founder Chat (~30 min) – Culture, pace, ownership, and how you like to work. Time for your questions too.
Paid Work Trial (1–2 weeks) – Test drive the real thing: run a real piece of one of our programs and show us how you operate.
Decision – We move fast after the trial.
If you want to be the person who turns Firecrawl's developer community into a genuine competitive advantage — and you're not afraid to manage the messy, human, relationship-driven work that makes it happen — this is your shot.
