The team

At Kraken, data is both a strategic asset and the foundation of trust with our users, partners, and stakeholders and the data team is the backbone of decision-making.

We're looking for a Data Analyst, Product to join our team remotely. The #1 goal of this role is to turn complex product data into clear, actionable insights that improve user experience, support the development of new features, deepen engagement, and help leadership make high-impact product decisions. You'll work at the intersection of data engineering, product analytics, and experimentation in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where speed, accuracy, and business impact are non-negotiable.

Beyond technical expertise, success in this role depends on being a true business partner who combines data-driven insights with deep knowledge of product funnels and user behaviour metrics. You'll own end-to-end data management — from building and maintaining datasets and pipelines to designing dashboards and insights for the Product and leadership teams. You will also drive experimentation infrastructure and automate reporting workflows to boost efficiency and accelerate decision-making.

You will be, quite literally and quantitatively, defining success on a daily basis for our Product and leadership teams. Join us and be part of a team where data is not just an asset but our language, our tool, and our future.

The Opportunity

  • Own the design of dashboards, product metrics, and performance reports, turning data into actionable insights for stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and product teams

  • Automate product data solutions, reporting workflows, and pipelines to boost efficiency and minimise manual intervention

  • Dive into large, complex datasets to turn findings into scalable data models that facilitate full funnel reporting, analytics, and ML models

  • Translate product and business requests into accurate reports and automated data pipelines using Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow

  • Lead cross-functional projects with analysts, engineers, and product teams to build and maintain high-quality data pipelines and sources

  • Drive experimentation infrastructure by leading the design and launch of A/B testing frameworks, testing hypotheses, and translating results into clear product recommendations

  • Support ad-hoc data requests for feature performance, user onboarding, product reviews, and day-to-day business needs

  • Deliver insights that shape product direction through clear, data-driven storytelling

Skills you should HODL

  • 7+ years of data analysis experience with deep knowledge of product KPIs, full funnel performance, and the ability to connect marketing and product insights to drive business growth. Fintech or crypto background is a plus.

  • Product instinct comes first. You know how to turn data into decisions and connect the dots between user behaviour and business impact. If you also trade derivatives on the side, perpetuals, futures or similar, that understanding of how traders think will set you apart.

  • SQL is at the core of everything you do in this role and we expect full mastery of it, including complex joins, CTEs, and analytical functions. Strong hands-on Python proficiency is equally important

  • Familiarity with dbt is welcomed and will set you apart, though it is not a strict requirement

  • Experience setting up and managing data pipelines with a strong understanding of data workflow orchestration

  • Hands-on experience designing and running A/B tests and experimentation frameworks with the ability to translate results into clear growth recommendations

  • Capable of creating intuitive dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex insights clearly

  • Strong communicator who can simplify complex data ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Aligned with the values outlined in Kraken's Tentaclements document

  • A degree in a field emphasizing analytical rigor such as analytics, software engineering, or economics

  • Based in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Spain, Cyprus or Portugal with flexibility on working hours to support a globally distributed team

Nice to haves

  • Deep interest in improving user experiences through better product analytics and experimentation

  • Passion for continuous learning and approaching problems with a beginner's mindset

  • Solid understanding of the cryptocurrency space and how financial markets function
