About the Role
We are looking for a Deployed Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will work directly with internal stakeholders, building an agentic workforce to automate workflows to drive productivity, quality, and the effectiveness of our human workforce. Problems that are too ambiguous for a product spec, too urgent for a roadmap, and too important to ignore. Your job is to find them, frame them, and solve them.

Responsibilities
- In partnership with Exec and stakeholders, proactively identify inefficiencies, broken processes, and untapped opportunities across the organization without waiting to be asked.
- Build and ship custom tools, integrations, and internal applications that deliver immediate, visible impact.
- Translate non-technical asks into technical requirements, and translate working solutions back into language stakeholders care about.
- Work with leadership to prioritize and get after the areas of highest return for Hungryroot. Manage competing demands from multiple stakeholders, making sound judgment calls about what matters most when you need to.
- Continually integrate AI processes into your workflow to simplify work for the organization, so you can spend time on the most meaningful problems.
- Serve as the first line of defense when something breaks. Diagnose fast, fix fast, communicate clearly.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development
- 3+ Experience with production-level monitoring, error observability, and performance tuning (Sentry, Datadog, etc.)
- 3+ years coding with Python, Go or Typescript
- Experience with Agentic tools, LangChain, AI SDKs (Vercel AI SDK, OpenAI Builder, preferred)
- Experience working in Test-Driven Environments
- Thrive in ambiguity. Able to ask right questions, make reasonable assumptions, and start building.
- Excellent communication with stakeholders across Technical and Non-technical backgrounds
- Experienced technical background working with stakeholders in software development and data engineering.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- You care about the business problem, not just the technical one. You challenge assumptions and reframe problems to find better solutions.

Expected Pay Range:$134,000 - $168,000
