About the Role
CaptivateIQ is looking for a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy and execution of our Product Platform — the shared foundation that every CaptivateIQ application is built on. This is the connective tissue of the company: the layers that turn a set of products into a single, AI-native system.
It is where data becomes connected and queryable, where workflows orchestrate long-running human-and-agent processes, where reporting turns models into decisions, where identity and entitlements govern who can do what, where state is versioned and audited, and where the AI and agent platform gives every product a consistent, agent-accessible surface.
What You'll Own
The Product Platform spans the shared layers and cross-cutting capabilities that sit between our applications and our infrastructure. Concretely, this scope includes:
- AI & Agent Platform: The agent SDK, MCP server, agent portal for authoring and observability, eval framework, and shared UI primitives.
- Data Platform: Bi-directional data connectors and the ETL / ingestion and transformation layer.
- Workflows & Reporting: Long-running orchestration with human-in-the-loop approvals and in-house analytics.
- Identity: Authentication, SSO, policies, permissions (RBAC), and user preferences.
- State Platform: Versioning, state-transition machines, sandboxing, and audit trails.
Responsibilities
- Own the Product Platform strategy and roadmap for data, workflows, reporting, identity, state, and the AI/agent platform.
- Build primitives that serve as an accelerant for product teams.
- Champion interface-first, agent-ready design with well-defined schemas.
- Model hands-on product leadership by staying close to customer workflows and technical constraints.
- Scale enterprise readiness by delivering governance, auditability, and performance.
- Develop system thinkers through coaching and structured decision-making.
- Drive measurable impact across development velocity and system interoperability.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years leading product managers in complex, multi-tenant systems.
- Deep experience with platform or infrastructure products (APIs, data platforms, or orchestration engines).
- Demonstrated ability to build reusable primitives and abstractions.
- Strong API-first instincts and familiarity with the AI/agent stack (MCP, evals, context management).
- Strong cross-functional leadership and coaching mindset.
