What you'll do
Your contributions will encompass practice building, delivery support, and external market shaping.
- Shape how the Product practice adopts AI, identifying opportunities, piloting approaches, scaling what works, and coaching PMs in building AI-informed workflows on their teams.
- Manage and mentor 5–8 direct reports, overseeing reporting lines for 20–30 product managers across multiple contracts and portfolios.
- Partner with portfolio directors and program managers to ensure smooth delivery and effective staffing across a set of contracts.
- Guide teams in applying Nava's cross-functional delivery model and human-centered system integration expertise to build modern, user-centered products that achieve strong outcomes for clients.
- Contribute directly to Nava's point of view on AI in government product delivery, including how product competency is evolving as AI blurs product/design/engineering lines and how AI agents should be governed in regulated public-sector environments.
- Take ownership of complex external-facing go-to-market strategy for Nava’s solutions: setting direction, driving decisions, and holding the work accountable end-to-end.
The scope of this role will flex with the needs of the practice and the candidate's strengths. We expect every Director of Product to be a strong general leader of the practice, and we also are looking for a candidate with experience to provide strong leadership on AI enablement and go-to-market strategy.
