About You
We are looking for a Legal Counsel who is detail-oriented, proactive, and a collaborative team player to join our Legal team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment and is excited to provide strategic legal counsel, ensure compliance, and support Xsolla's business objectives. Strong analytical skills, exceptional verbal communication and drafting abilities, and deep expertise in corporate and commercial law are essential, along with experience in the gaming industry, fintech, digital assets, and securities law.
Responsibilities
- Consult business on the legal issues and implications of potential business decisions, initiatives and payment strategies.
- Maintain current knowledge on laws and regulations around payment services and digital innovation such as cryptocurrencies, blockchain, NFT and decentralized finance (DeFi).
- Identify, summarize, and analyze the impact of new and proposed applicable rules and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other documentation for new business ideas.
- Work closely with business and technology teams to develop compelling product and service offerings.
- Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Qualification and Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in good standing with the applicable Bar.
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience.
- Advanced English language proficiency.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Figma.
- Knowledge of corporate law, financial services regulation, PSD2, AMLD/AML-CFT, and GDPR.
- Strong legal research, oral and written communication skills.
- Interest in DeFi, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology, including familiarity with MiCA.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the crypto or gaming industry.
- Familiarity with payment systems and their functional operations.
