Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Real Estate is responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy for all title and real estate matters during the development phase of renewable energy projects. This role requires extensive knowledge of the US development pipeline and strategic initiatives, reporting to the Director of Real Estate. This is a remote position involving up to 15% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all real estate matters for renewable energy projects, including title searches, proforma negotiations, and financial closing requirements.
  • Oversee title insurance relationships and commission/review ALTA surveys.
  • Manage curative title matters, including coordination with external consultants and legal counsel.
  • Handle lease preparation, execution of options, and procurement of necessary easements and crossing agreements.
  • Assist the commercial, finance, and legal groups with real estate diligence and data room preparation.
  • Ensure the procurement of all required estoppels, affidavits, and policy endorsements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of real estate paralegal or title company experience.
  • At least 8 years of specific experience with title and survey work, leasing, and real estate transactions.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents.
  • Experience with renewable energy development projects.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required.
