Role Overview
We're looking for a Senior Shopify Developer who will lead the development of custom Shopify themes and features, build and maintain third-party integrations, optimize storefront performance, and support experimentation initiatives through A/B testing. You will provide technical guidance to junior developers and work closely with a Tech Lead, Project Manager, and Designer within a dedicated pod to support multiple subscription-focused CPG brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Build advanced Shopify features and custom storefront experiences while delivering complex projects from requirements gathering through deployment.
- Optimize Shopify stores for performance, scalability, and conversion.
- Build high-converting paid media landing pages and implement conversion-focused storefront updates.
- Set up, manage, and deploy A/B tests using Intelligems and ensure accurate tracking of experiments.
- Design, build, and maintain integrations with third-party applications, including subscription platforms like Skio and ReCharge.
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead on technical architecture and provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to improve development efficiency and problem-solving.
Requirements
- 5+ years of web development experience with significant Shopify development expertise.
- Deep knowledge of Shopify architecture and Liquid templating.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks.
- Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive development.
- Experience implementing and managing A/B testing programs.
- Strong experience with Shopify APIs and custom API integrations.
- Expert-level GitHub knowledge, including version control, branching strategies, and code reviews.
- Experience debugging and optimizing Shopify storefront performance.
