About the Role
New Era Technology is seeking a Cloud and onPrem Data Center Architect to design and implement solutions for Enterprise and Data Center computer and networking, Cloud Hypervisor, and BCDR solutions. You will work with a team-oriented culture that prioritizes professional development while delivering exceptional customer service to Enterprise clients.
Primary Duties
- Develop engineering solutions and explain complex technologies to customers.
- Gather requirements and propose comprehensive solutions including hardware, software, and Business Continuity services.
- Design scalable architectures for DC, LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Firewalls.
- Develop scalable solutions for physical and virtualized compute environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS).
- Assess and design onPrem to Cloud (Azure/AWS) migration solutions, including optimization and workflows.
- Prepare statements of work (SOWs), levels of effort, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Provide oversight for configuration, installation, maintenance, and technical documentation.
- Train deployment and field engineers for on-site troubleshooting.
Core Competencies
- Proficiency in designing and managing data center hypervisors and BCDR solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Azure within the Well-Architected Framework.
- Expertise in routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MP-BGP, and IS-IS.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware, including Nexus (9k, 7k, 5k, 2k) and Catalyst switch platforms.
- Experience with cloud networking solutions and SD-WAN integration.
- Ability to communicate technical designs effectively to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work history.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level design and deployment of hypervisors, SAN/NAS, and BCDR.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure IaaS, migrations, and cloud networking services.
- Strong preference for Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE).
- Preferred certifications: VMware, Microsoft AZ-800/801, Datto (KCE), and Veeam (VMCE+).
