Role Overview

CGS is seeking a highly skilled Auditor to provide general auditing and accounting services in support of fraud investigations involving complex financial transactions and organizations attempting to evade detection. The ideal candidate will develop, coordinate, and draft technical audit guidelines and maintain proficiency in various accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and audit a variety of accounting systems.
  • Analyze, organize, and present large volumes of data including bank records, financial records, healthcare claims, and tax records using common software programs.
  • Assist with the planning of investigations by performing quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify witnesses and financial documents.
  • Prepare concise and accurate reports, including charts, summaries, and schedules.
  • Coordinate interviews with representatives of financial institutions, CPAs, and other potential witnesses.
  • Utilize electronic databases to identify assets, documents, and physical evidence.
  • Analyze the ability of individuals or corporations to pay monetary penalties based on financial disclosures.
  • Arrange for secure storage, preservation, and indexing of voluminous documentary evidence.
  • Create charts, graphs, and audio-visual materials for use in motions and trials.

Qualifications

  • Four-year undergraduate degree or higher in statistical/data analysis, finance, accounting, or fraud examination.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination, or statistical/data analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation.
  • Experience reviewing medical records and knowledge of medical billing procedures is preferred.
  • Experience using STARS and/or Business Objects is considered a plus.
  • Relevant experience working with a federal or state legal or law enforcement entity is highly valued.
