About the Role
You will join the Messaging Platform team, which serves as the core of our product. You will work on backend systems that power partner and client APIs, WhatsApp channel lifecycle, billing, and integrations. This role offers the opportunity to own technical domains, influence architecture, and see the direct impact of your decisions in production.

Requirements
- Deep Python expertise: Strong understanding of the runtime model, including async internals, memory management, typing, and packaging.
- Backend systems experience: Proficiency in REST and asynchronous APIs, PostgreSQL (including schema design and query performance), message queues, and service-to-service integration.
- Domain ownership mentality: Ability to take full responsibility for features from development through to production.
- Structured problem solving: Capability to break down ambiguous, complex problems into manageable, risk-aware iterations.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate concisely, surface blockers early, and ask sharp, technical questions.
- Self-awareness: A clear understanding of your own expertise and a genuine curiosity to share and seek knowledge.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Background in B2B SaaS or messaging/communication platforms.
- Familiarity with GCP, Cloud SQL, or similar managed infrastructure.
