Role Overview

Voltus is seeking an exceptional Director of Product Management to lead the team that owns the core customer-facing aspects of our platform. Reporting to the VP of Product & Design, you will lead critical product areas including customer dispatch, customer performance, market settlement, customer hardware and metering data, and the overall customer financial experience. This is a high-ownership, player-coach leadership role where you will define strategy, scale a high-performing team, and drive delivery for complex, commercially meaningful problems in the energy sector.

What You'll Do

  • Define and drive product strategy across the customer experience — dispatch, performance, settlement, metering and hardware data, and the financial experience.
  • Lead and grow a team of product managers as a player-coach, fostering a culture of extreme ownership and customer obsession.
  • Build a customer experience that scales, turning a high-touch, service-led relationship into a self-serve product experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, energy markets, and executive leadership to ship impactful solutions at scale.
  • Balance long-term vision with hands-on product design, discovery, and iteration.
  • Own key metrics including customer engagement, retention, settlement accuracy, and financial transparency.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years in Product Management, with at least 3+ years leading and scaling teams in high-growth environments.
  • Deep expertise in energy markets, specifically demand response, DER participation, energy storage, or grid services.
  • Proven track record shipping customer-facing, data-intensive, and financially driven products at scale.
  • Fluency in turning economic complexity into trusted customer experiences.
  • Track record of integrating AI tools and practices into product discovery, specification, and delivery processes.
  • Effective communicator with experience influencing at the executive level.
