Role Overview
PerfectServe is seeking a Director of Product Management – AI to own the product vision, strategy, and lifecycle of our AI-native answering service platform. You will define what gets built and why, grounding decisions in deep customer and clinical understanding while moving fast using contemporary product development tools. You will be the connective tissue between healthcare operations teams, engineering, and executive leadership, translating complex clinical and interoperability needs into a clear, prioritized, and continuously evolving product roadmap.
Core Responsibilities
- AI Product Vision & Roadmap Ownership: Define the product strategy for the AI answering service and translate business objectives into a prioritized, actionable roadmap.
- Customer & Clinical Discovery: Lead discovery efforts, including stakeholder interviews and workflow observation, to distinguish signal from noise and define user personas.
- AI-Native Product Development: Utilize AI tools for prototyping, design, and run structured experiments like A/B tests and shadow deployments to validate hypotheses.
- Healthcare Interoperability & Workflow Expertise: Apply knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA compliance to ensure features align with clinical reality and safety standards.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Own the relationship between product requirements and engineering delivery, including managing outsourced development partners.
- Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Define performance frameworks and use production data to drive quarterly reviews and model performance improvements.
- Team Leadership: Initially operate as an individual contributor with the mandate to build out a product and design team as the platform scales.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning AI, NLP, or conversational AI products in production.
- Proven ability to lead customer discovery in complex B2B environments, preferably with clinical or operational users.
- Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 v2 and FHIR.
- Strong familiarity with HIPAA requirements, data minimization, and PHI handling.
- Technical fluency to evaluate AI capabilities, write clear specifications, and prototype using modern tooling.
- Experience shipping AI features at scale and iterating based on production data.
