The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered workflows, internal tools, and platform capabilities. You will collaborate directly with leadership and operations teams to identify opportunities for automation and deploy systems that create meaningful operational leverage. This role is ideal for builders who thrive in fast-moving startup environments and can move from concept to production with minimal oversight.
What You’ll Work On
- AI-powered workflow automation
- Intelligent onboarding and support systems
- Internal AI assistants for operations and compliance teams
- Agentic workflows and multi-step reasoning systems
- Knowledge retrieval and operational tooling
Required Experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, specifically full-stack or backend
- Proven track record of shipping production software used by customers or teams
- Experience building AI-powered products, agents, or workflow systems
- Strong working knowledge of OpenAI and/or Anthropic APIs
- Strong experience with APIs, system integrations, and backend workflows
- Ability to work independently and make pragmatic technical tradeoffs
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or TypeScript
- Experience with RAG, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, n8n, Retool, or Zapier
- Competency in cloud infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring
What Success Looks Like
- 60-90 Days: Ship production AI workflows, automate operational processes, and establish the foundation for AI-powered infrastructure.
- 12 Months: Transform GreenLight into an AI-native business, deliver measurable operational leverage across departments, and influence long-term product strategy.
