What this job can offer you
The Time & Attendance Specialist will play an essential role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of Time & Attendance activities for Remote's external employees and clients. This individual contributor position places a strong emphasis on legal compliance and delivering an exceptional employee experience while maintaining efficient processes.
What you bring
- Experience managing employee lifecycle events with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance; providing comprehensive HR support on employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently lead difficult conversations while maintaining confidentiality.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English at a business level.
- Aptitude for innovating and optimizing processes, identifying opportunities for automation, and promoting best practices.
- Efficiency in operations with strong attention to thorough documentation and data integrity.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to collaborate asynchronously on various tools and adapt to evolving systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Slack, Zendesk, and G-Suite.
- AI Fluency: Ability to use AI-assisted tools for tasks like drafting, knowledge retrieval, or workflow automation while understanding safe data handling practices.
Key responsibilities
Employee Relations Management
- Serve as an expert on Time & Attendance, assisting with complex projects and advising on employment law changes.
- Manage employee lifecycle leave and working hours matters, including Family Leave, Sick Leave, Time Tracking, and Public Holidays.
- Provide guidance on legal interpretations regarding employment agreements and labor law as a trusted consultant.
Team and Operational Excellence
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including payroll, legal counsel, and government bodies to ensure compliance.
- Manage critical initiatives impacting employees across multiple countries and support HR/financial audits.
- Develop and update global internal documentation based on legislative changes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and adopt AI-assisted tools to improve quality and speed.
- Safely manage and maintain employee data adhering to established privacy protocols.
