PerfectServe is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of PerfectServe's products through rigorous manual and automated testing. As an individual contributor, you will deliver work independently within your team and grow toward owning more complex problems.

Core Responsibilities

  • Technical: Execute manual test cases, document defects clearly, write automation scripts, apply API testing tools, and integrate tests in CI/CD.
  • Architecture & Design: Understand the system under test.
  • Delivery & Execution: Execute assigned test plans, write own test plans, manage test coverage, and manage QA environment integrity.
  • Quality & Standards: Follow test standards and ensure HIPAA test coverage.
  • Collaboration: Participate in ceremonies, partner with dev engineers, and collaborate with product teams.
  • Communication: Report defect status, communicate test results, and write test documentation.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Learn and apply QA best practices.
  • Strategy & Vision: Understand release goals and contribute to QA planning.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of professional QA engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience executing test cases and documenting defects clearly.
  • Experience with test automation, API testing, and CI/CD integration.
  • Understanding of QA methodologies and quality metrics.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with a willingness to learn and act on feedback.
  • Preferred: Experience testing in a HIPAA/HITRUST-regulated healthcare environment, performance and security testing experience, and experience building test frameworks from the ground up.
