Why this role exists:
This role exists to build and scale seamless payment integrations that directly impact transaction success, user experience, and revenue. You’ll help us expand and stabilise our PSP ecosystem by owning how integrations are designed, analysed, and delivered end-to-end.
What you’ll drive:
Strategy & outcomes
- Improve payment success rates, stability, and performance across integrations.
- Identify opportunities to optimise routing, reduce failures, and improve UX.
- Contribute to the payments roadmap with a strong focus on integrations.
- Define and track integration KPIs (success rate, latency, error rates).
Discovery & decisions
- Analyse PSP APIs, documentation, and integration requirements.
- Break down payment flows into clear, structured logic and edge cases.
- Translate business needs into precise integration specifications.
- Validate solutions with stakeholders before development starts.
Delivery & execution
- Own payment integration from requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, flow descriptions) to launch.
- Structure backlog items related to payment integrations and improvements.
- Work closely with engineers to ship, test, and iterate integrations.
- Ensure integrations are scalable, resilient, and well-documented.
Stakeholder & cross-team alignment
- Act as the key link between PSP partners, business teams, and engineering.
- Align on integration scope, timelines, and technical constraints.
- Communicate risks, limitations, and trade-offs early.
- Unblock teams by bringing clarity to complex integration topics.
Processes, data & documentation
- Map end-to-end payment flows, including edge cases and failure scenarios.
- Analyse and document data mapping between systems and PSPs.
- Visualise integration logic using BPMN, UML, or similar tools.
- Maintain clear documentation for integration flows, APIs, and system behaviour.
What makes you a GR8 fit:
Must-have
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
- Hands-on experience with payment integrations / PSPs.
- Experience working with payment flows (deposits, withdrawals, routing, retries).
- Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and data mapping.
- Experience working in high-load or transaction-based systems.
- Solid knowledge of SDLC and Agile delivery.
- Ability to structure complex integration logic into clear requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams.
Nice-to-have
- Understanding of payment metrics and optimisation (success rate, conversion, failures).
- Experience with process modelling (BPMN, UML, sequence diagrams).
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucidchart, Figma.
- Understanding of compliance or regional specifics in payments.
