About the Role
BrightSign is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team. We are the global leader in digital media players, providing flexible, high-reliability solutions for various vertical markets. As we evolve our monolithic server architecture to a distributed microservices approach using .NET Core, Node.js, and TypeScript, we are looking for a dedicated engineer to support our partner ecosystem.
This role serves as a bridge between BrightSign’s product, business, and innovation teams. You will be responsible for managing custom project integrations, creating technical documentation (including Swagger/OpenAPI), and developing reference implementations and SDKs. This position is based in the Eastern Standard Time zone (EST) and requires a candidate comfortable with customer-facing responsibilities and strategic engineering initiatives.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Be an engineering voice in our EST and EU CMS partner ecosystem.
- Own communication, design, and development during the lifecycle of custom projects or integrations with CMS partners.
- Grow the developer community through building technical resources and tools, including references, examples, and documentation.
- Assist in guiding a developer community supporting agentic-friendly resources.
- Build technical relationships and scalable processes with partners to guide them during development.
- Act as a filter on incoming partner issues to field, respond, debug, and resolve technical challenges.
- Advocate for partners throughout BrightSign’s internal teams to reduce integration friction.
- Engage closely with Engineering Teams to iterate upon APIs and the ecosystem.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- 5-7 years of relevant commercial software development experience.
- Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, network communication stacks, and TLS/SSL certificate fundamentals.

- Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code).
- Working knowledge of on-device ML/AI inference concepts.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs or RAG patterns into developer tools.
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks or protocols like MCP.
