Role Overview
A boutique executive search firm specializing in technical hiring for venture-backed startups is looking for a Technical Sourcer to own deep candidate research and deliver high-signal pipelines for Engineering, Product, and Design roles exclusively within the US market. The firm operates at low volume and high depth, running a small number of concurrent searches with the precision and rigor of executive search. Clients are venture-backed companies from Seed through Series D across AI/ML, SaaS, and Fintech.
Key Responsibilities
- Build structured talent maps and conduct deep-dive company and candidate research.
- Identify passive candidates through advanced Boolean search techniques.
- Maintain highly organized pipeline data and CRM hygiene.
- Consistently surface candidates that align tightly with role criteria, including domain, level, and career trajectory.
Must-Have Requirements
- 5+ years of sourcing experience with a track record of low-volume, high-depth research.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing US-based candidates for US-based companies.
- Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, including filter logic and Boolean construction.
- Experience conducting structured market intelligence research, such as org analysis and headcount tracking.
- Verifiable sourcing outcomes, including closure rates and search turnaround time.
- B2+ English proficiency for internal documentation and communication.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Background at a boutique executive search or dedicated research firm.
- Prior experience as a software engineer or technical practitioner.
- Familiarity with GitHub, Google Scholar, or patent databases for technical candidate identification.
- Experience with startup research tools such as Crunchbase, PitchBook, or Wellfound.
