Main Functions
The administrative assistant is responsible for supporting client transactions in the group life and disability insurance sector of an insurance company.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Upload documents into member files.
- Enter data into member files.
- Generate barcodes to catalog documents.
- Perform all other tasks related to sorting relevant information for members.
- Critically evaluate received data to identify errors, inconsistencies, and omissions.
- Meet productivity standards based on the learning curve.
- Use various tools to validate the feasibility of transactions.
- Assist with special projects as requested by a direct supervisor or team lead.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Intermediate level of English proficiency for daily analysis of bilingual documentation, as over 80% of the clientele is anglophone.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional team spirit and proactivity.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and an analytical mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet service level agreements (SLA).
Required Training and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of administrative experience (an asset).
- User experience with practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable with technology and possesses a good typing speed.
Technical Configuration
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and operating systems, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
