REQUIREMENTS
Must-haves
🌱 First-line engineering management experience: You’ve been a first-line Engineering Manager for at least 2 years and have experience directly leading engineers in a growing product organization. You’ve led teams that shipped meaningful product or platform outcomes, and you know how to balance execution, quality, and team health.
🤝 Strong people leadership: You know how to coach, give clear feedback, support career growth, and handle hard conversations with empathy, honesty, and accountability.
🏎️ Composure in fast-moving environments: You help your team stay focused, confident, and effective as priorities evolve, bringing optimism, sound judgment, and a clear path forward even when the environment is moving fast.
⚙️ Hands-on experience as a software engineer: You have a strong software engineering background and can confidently mentor engineers, contribute to system and architecture discussions, and assess technical trade-offs.
🛠️ Comfortable being hands-on when needed: You can go deep into technical details or code to unblock, challenge, or support your team, but you know your main job is not to be on the critical path.
🔄 Cross-functional alignment: Experience collaborating with Product, Design, and other stakeholders, as you align different perspectives into a clear path forward.
🏢 High-growth SaaS experience: You’ve worked in a high-growth SaaS company and know how to build strong teams, scale with intention, and are excited to reach ambitious goals together with your team.
