WHAT YOU’LL DO

This role sits within Thyme Care’s Quality, Training and Development org. As Manager, Training and Onboarding, you will own the strategy and execution of how new team members ramp to proficiency, lead a team of trainers, and partner across the organization to ensure learning is embedded into the flow of work. You will focus on reducing time to proficiency, be creative about how training gets delivered, and disciplined about measuring whether it works.

  • Own the onboarding program and drive time-to-proficiency outcomes: Take full ownership of Thyme Care’s onboarding experience, define what proficiency looks like, and build the measurement infrastructure to track how quickly new team members reach milestones.
  • Build and manage structured ramp programs: Design role-specific ramp programs that sequence learning intentionally, balancing clinical knowledge, systems fluency, process adherence, and on-the-job application.
  • Develop and manage a team: Lead, coach, and grow a team of trainers and instructional designers, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement.
  • Embed learning in the flow of work: Design learning experiences that meet people where they are, including job aids, in-tool guidance, peer coaching, and real-time performance support.
  • Drive cross-functional partnerships: Build relationships with Operations, Quality, Clinical, and People teams to stay ahead of process changes and ensure training content reflects actual workflows.
  • Innovate on training modalities: Pilot new approaches from microlearning and simulations to cohort-based learning, evaluating their impact and scaling successful programs.
  • Define and track effectiveness metrics: Own OKRs related to time to proficiency, knowledge assessment scores, and 30/60/90 day performance indicators.
  • Audit and optimize content: Conduct structured reviews of training materials to identify gaps and prioritize improvements.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • 4-6 years of experience leading teams in training, learning and development, or onboarding program management.
  • Proven success building structured ramp and onboarding programs with clear milestones and measurement.
  • Experience managing trainers and instructional designers.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally across Operations, Quality, or Clinical teams.
  • Experience building performance support tools and embedded coaching programs.
  • Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to translate training outcomes into narratives for leadership.
  • Familiarity with instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and LMS platforms is preferred.
  • Exposure to change management principles and experience in healthcare or health tech is a plus.
