We're looking for a skilled Java Middleware Engineer to join our growing team at OKTO. This is a fully remote role based in Argentina, supporting the development of scalable payment technologies. Responsibilities
- Develop new product functionality based on business and technical requirements
- Produce performance optimized code that is properly unit tested
- Support SIT, UAT and production environments
- Apply modern Agile methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in a Computer Engineering field or related area
- Proven working experience in fintech/payments
- 5+ years of experience in middleware application development using Java (at least 1 year using Java 11)
- Proficiency in Java 11+ Functional Programming and Object-Oriented design (OOD)
- Familiarity with Event-Driven software design patterns
- Experience with Java 11+ microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud (Netflix OSS)
- Expertise in Spring 5 Framework, OAuth2 Security, JPA persistence, ORM modelling, and RESTful API design
- Proficiency with Git code versioning
