About the role:
As an AI Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work on ProcessOS, a new Camunda product designed to generate executable BPMN workflows from natural language and autonomously improve them using production data. You will own the full deployment journey from initial process implementation to a functional, high-performance system, ultimately handing off capabilities to the customer. This role requires working across Java services and React interfaces to scale performance in distributed systems while contributing insights back into the core product development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deploy and prove the product: Own the journey from the first process file to a production-ready workflow with measurable fitness gains for the customer.
- Drive organizational adoption: Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to build trust and ensure successful implementation.
- Work at depth technically: Configure Camunda clusters, debug integration failures, build custom agents, and write connector logic for legacy enterprise systems.
- Build the deployment playbook: Document successful patterns to streamline future implementations.
- Contribute to the product: Feed field discoveries and custom integrations back into the core ProcessOS codebase.
- Hand off deliberately: Train customer teams to operate independently and maintain the platform post-deployment.
Must Haves:
- Enterprise production experience: Proven ability to ship and maintain software within large-scale, governed environments.
- Technical depth: Capability to debug complex integration failures, build custom agents for legacy APIs, and manage Camunda clusters.
- Stakeholder communication: Ability to bridge the gap between engineering, architecture, and business leadership.
- Practical AI experience: Demonstrated production use of AI, including context management, prompt engineering, and agent testing.
- Comfort with ambiguity: Ability to make sound judgment calls without predefined playbooks.
