The Role
Blitzy is hiring a Regional Vice President to lead our Public Sector sales team. This is a senior sales leadership role for someone who has built and run enterprise sales teams selling into federal, state, and local government agencies. You will own the Public Sector revenue number, set the standard for how Blitzy engages with government agencies, and build the processes, talent, and executive relationships that turn pipeline into predictable, scalable revenue.
What You'll Do
- Own and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for the Public Sector segment.
- Lead, coach, and scale a team of Public Sector Account Executives running complex, multi-threaded sales cycles.
- Serve as executive sponsor on Blitzy's largest public sector deals, building relationships with agency leadership and procurement officers.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive public sector go-to-market plan, including territory design and growth strategy.
- Navigate and guide deals through government procurement processes, including RFPs/RFIs, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.
- Drive rigorous forecast accuracy and pipeline management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Customer Success to align on competitive positioning and customer outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of formal sales leadership experience building and leading high-performance sales teams in federal, state, or local government.
- Deep experience running sales cycles and developing strategic relationships with senior government stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of government procurement processes, contract vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedules, SEWP), and compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, StateRAMP).
- Experience selling technical SaaS or cloud-based software with comfort navigating conversations around APIs, integrations, and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or Challenger.
- Proven ability to build relationships and sell face-to-face to senior agency and government leaders.
- Experience thriving in a startup or high-velocity environment.
