The Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions manages employee exits for Remote's external employees with a focus on legal compliance and providing delightful customer service. Additionally, the specialist provides first-level Employee Relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources when needed. You will contribute to process improvements and initiatives in line with Remote's strategic goals, ensuring every interaction is fast, intuitive, and profoundly impactful.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, prioritizing a superior offboarding experience.
- Provide guidance on HR matters, including terminations, resignations, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultations and administrative hearings.
- Negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations while balancing multiple stakeholder interests.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including payroll, legal counsel, and government bodies to ensure compliance.
- Draft and administer termination documentation with strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Process offboarding on internal HRIS platforms and collaborate across verticals like Customer Success and Benefits.
- Support clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches and workplace investigation fundamentals.
- Actively identify opportunities for process automation and product development improvements.
Key Requirements and Characteristics
- Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with strong generalist competencies.
- Proven background in managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care and legal compliance.
- Ability to interpret industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
- Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Aptitude for innovation, process optimization, and automation.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to collaborate asynchronously in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated automation and AI fluency.
