What this job can offer you
The Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations & Transitions manages employee exits for Remote's external employees with a focus on legal compliance and providing delightful customer service. Additionally, the specialist provides first-level Employee Relations support, guiding clients through workplace concerns and coordinating appropriate resources when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Offboarding
- Manage and resolve end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, prioritizing a superior offboarding experience for Remote's clients and their employees.
- Provide sound guidance on HR matters, including termination, resignation, transfer procedures, employment contracts, and redundancy processes.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and external employees, including workforce reduction consultation meetings, administrative hearings, and negotiations.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions.
- Draft and administer all termination and supplementary documents with accuracy and attention to confidentiality.
- Process offboarding on internal HRIS platforms in collaboration with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, and Benefits teams.
- Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns and identify key facts and applicable local regulations.
- Support clients in understanding progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements.
- Actively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and product development.
Key Requirements
- Experience as a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist competencies.
- Strong background in managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care and legal compliance.
- Ability to interpret industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, and provide practical solutions.
- Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
- Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to collaborate asynchronously on various tools.
- Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
